Rockdale is going through an exciting period of change, and we are growing our services to respond to the needs of our customers. We are looking for ambitious Home Carers to join our great team whilst we roll out a new Domiciliary Care service in our supported living properties.

Our Home Carers will be responsible for ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care in their homes.

You will be passionate about delivering great care and supporting the residents and their families.

Pay:

£13.02 (basic rate) and £16.28 (enhanced rate) per hour.

For this role, successful candidates will:

Have previous experience of working with older people in a domiciliary care setting.
Good communication skills, both written and oral
Understand empathy and treating people with kindness
Ability to work to deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
Understand person centred care, and the ability to respect choices and treating people as individuals.

Care Assistant (12 month fixed term contract)

Rockdale House in Sevenoaks provides excellent care for the residents in our 50 bed care home, set in beautiful surroundings and located in the centre of Sevenoaks it is highly regarded by the community. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and hard-working Care Assistant to join our team.

We are looking for dedicated care staff who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to caring for older people, your day to day tasks will include helping residents with social activities, answering call bells, completing care plans and assisting with dressing and personal care. Treating people with kindness is essential, along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good MS Skills and GCSE’s in English and Maths are also desirable

For this role, successful candidates will have:

Excellent communication skills and be a great team player
A good understanding of person centred care
Experience of working in a similar environment
The ability to make responsible decisions that are always in the resident’s best interest
An NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential, however you should be willing to get further training if needed

Hours of work: Full time shifts including weekends;

Early: 7:45am – 1:45pm, late: 1:45pm – 7:45pm or long: 7:45am to 7:45pm.

You will be ensuring that clinical standards are met in Rockdale House. You will be passionate about delivering great care and supporting the residents and their families.

Be a registered nurse with a valid NMC Pin
Have previous Health & Social Care experience
Have previous Nursing experience
Excellent MS Office skills
